EBME and other Specialised Maintenance Needs
Eclipse-fm® covers the standard needs of general maintenance tasks with some provisions for special requirements. For example, an asset may be defined as subject to PAT testing, a standard Eclipse-fm® feature relevant to all electrical equipment.
Specialist Maintenance Definitions
In addition to the particular needs of EBME maintenance, Eclipse-fm® may be customised to meet the needs of a variety of specialised maintenance disciplines not traditionally associated with the estates function, via the provision of new Maintenance tabs.
- EBME equipment - e.g. dialysis machines, Defibrillators, ECG machines
- IT equipment
- Vehicles
These classifications are not pre-defined, but determined by you as users to your own needs.
The particular discipline of EBME maintenance has been developed much further, with a specialist EBME module available.
We recognise that various elements of special maintenance recording varies in detail from Trust to Trust, so what is included in "Special Equipment Class" Tabs such as IT Equipment is intended to be easily customised for each NHS Trust’s requirements.
This enhances the process of searching for or listing assets, as these classifications are included in the filtering of searches and lists.
The flexibility of Eclipse-fm® means that asset maintenance recording can be easily customised to the requirements of individual NHS Trusts for every type of equipment likely to be in use.
