Eclipse-fm® is developed and supported by a dedicated technical team at Asckey Data Services Ltd working in conjunction with active NHS Trust FM staff and the Healthcare Facilities Consortium.
Working within an ISO 9001 conformant development methodology, Eclipse-fm® benefits from more than 25 years of experience in developing facilities Management software for the NHS.
Developed with the experience of the functionality of the much used predecessor "WIMS" NHS FM system, Eclipse-fm® concentrates on what NHS Facilities Management requires, taking the best from the previous system and adding many more features, a typical Windows user friendly application interface, a Web page access capability, and Mobile Task Management with PDAs/ Smartphones.
All Eclipse-fm® users benefit from remote on-line support via the NHS N3 network, including installation of updates, database maintenance and problem solving.
The Eclipse-fm® Feedback Group meets regularly, with a remit to review the current release and provide guidance and opinion on future development. It is composed of active and experienced Facilities Management staff who in many cases bring expertise in specific areas of facilities management and maintenance operations and are an invaluable resource when new new functionality such as, recently, EBME, is under development.. Many members also provide a resource for early user testing of new releases.
The Eclipse-fm® Discussion Board, open to all Eclipse-fm® users, is an active forum for discussions, sometimes critical, always constructive. With every FM department having its own ideas of how things should be done, the Discussion Board, along with the Feedback Group is an effective moderating mechanism in the process of defining changes that are acceptable to all, whether in relation to improving the usability of the existing system, or defining new feature requirements.
