General/Framework
The auto incrementing fields are now in light blue. A minor point, but this will change the way Eclipse-fm® looks!
New Modules
Two new modules are included in this release. Firstly, the management of Staff Leave and Absence, and secondly the integration of Eclipse-fm® with Pierce Managements C4C Product. Both of these additions are major steps towards placing Eclipse-fm® at the centre of an integrated Estates/Facilities/Housekeeping management system for NHS Trusts and Estates.
Staff Admin and Leave.
This new feature not only allows you to track the leave and other absences for your staff, more importantly it allows you to plot these absences against future work and judge their affects when planning workload . This will enable you to make any necessary changes, either to the work load, or to the proposed absence to accommodate future Trust maintenance needs
It includes a year end process which allows for the resetting of leave allocations and other forecast absence, including leave carry over into the next year.
Leave allocation also checks for both attempts to book more leave than entitled, and accidental duplicate requests.
Integration with C4C - Credits for Cleaning
Traditionally, there has been a black hole in the process of passing Estates related tasks identified during a cleaning audit to the Estates Department for action. Eclipse-fm® and C4C now close this black hole by completing the loop from cleaning audit to facilities management and back again.
This is a two way process. First, if "Housekeeping" identifies a problem during a C4C audit, these tasks will be automatically created as a C4C labelled task in the associated Eclipse-fm® system when the C4C PDA is docked for updating collected data. No need to manually create a document to pass on to the FM Department, no need for the FM Department to spend time entering the task details. Crucially, no opportunity exists for the work that the C4C audit identifies to get lost. Then, once the task is signed off as completed in Eclipse-fm®, the C4C audit record is marked off as complete as well.
