Eclipse-fm® covers the standard needs of EME and EBME maintenance. For example, an asset may be defined as subject to PAT testing, a standard Eclipse-fm® feature relevant to both EBME and other electrical equipment.
Where required, extra EBME specific information may be defined and will appear in an additional "variable" EBME Details Tab for equipment classed as EBME. We recognise that the EBME maintenance recording requirement itself varies in detail from Trust to Trust, so what is included in this TAB, and in other "Special Equipment Class" Tabs such as IT Equipment is intended to be easily customised for each NHS Trust’s requrements.
Specialist Maintenance Definitions
In addition to the particular needs of EBME maintenance, Eclipse-fm®may be customised to meet the needs of a variety of specialised maintenance disciplines not traditionally associated with the estates function, via the provision of new Maintenance tabs.

- Vehicles
These classifications are not pre-defined, but determined by you as users to your own needs.
This enhances the process of searching for or listing assets, as these classifications are included in the filtering of searches and lists.
The flexibility of Eclipse-fm® means that asset maintenance recording can be easily customised to the requirements of individual NHS Trusts for every type of equipment likely to be in use.
