Eclipse-fm® may be used to good purpose by many members of staff of an NHS trust, and not just those working directly for the FM Department.
In particular, responsible ward staff will find it easy to create - and track - tasks directly on the Eclipse-fm® Help Desk, either directly, or via the Web Module, saving them the time of waiting for telephone access at busy times, needing to "remember" to report the request in normal hours, or having to create unstructured emails with request details. "Self service" requests also reduce the demands on the FM staff - out of hours requests do not need transcription from emails, and there is less need for out of hours help Desk staffing.
However, in order to make access by all both possible, and with sensible constraints, "Users" need defining as to what they are allowed to do, and what data they will have access to.
User management in Eclipse-fm® covers two considerations, both controlled by the users Log-on ID
Module/View access and data constraining operate independantly of each other. Used in combination, these provide the potential for the close targeting of individual users to specific types of work, or to only a self-service task creation role, and to data relating only to specific locations, management units, etc.
