The Eclipse-fm® web module provides facilites for non FM specialist staff to have a login to the system such that they can access some of the Eclipse-fm® facilites via a Web page, and without needing to have the system loaded onto the PC from where they wish to have access.
A good example of this is the creation of task Tickets at any time, and from any place. A task can be placed directly onto the system by a member of the night staff without the need to make direct contact with Help Desk staff.

Staff can also track the progress of tasks, again via a simple Web brower interface. Each task in the list can be looked into for details of current status, which tells the enquirer whether it has been scheduled to be done - in fact all the details of the job history that Eclipse-fm® records

For non-urgent tasks, and even many urgent ones, this provides a simple and direct means of registering that a task needs doing without needing direct, especially out of normal working hours contact with help Desk staff, while ensuring that the task will be automatically included into the next task scheduling run.
Web page access to Eclipse-fm® is not included in the concurrent user count for accessing the full Windows Eclipse-fm® system. This means that the Web module is an economical way of extending access to all Trust staff, particularly as the Web module provides a simplified access designed for the general user to initiate and track their own service requests.
