The Hazard Registry allows for the association of hazards with locations.
The Hazard Registry details may be defined as templates, any number of which may be associated with a location. A prime example would be Asbestos Hazards, for which several different hazards could be defined, to cover the differing situations inherent in asbestos presence, ranging from insulation in ducts to incorporation in the fabric of the building.
The location could be a specific room, but may also be a larger scale space such as a floor or block. When associated with a particular location, further location specific detail may optionally be added.
When a task ticket is issued, the Hazard notice details for that room, plus any that are relevant to it because it is part of a larger space, are added to the ticket. This automates meeting the responsibilities of Health and Safety requirements in respect of hazard warnings, while minimizing the work involved in making such notices available when and where needed.
