No two FM Departments will work in the same way, and nowhere is this more so than in the area of "Task Feedback". Some will want to record details of hours spent, equipment used etc, accountable to appropriate budget holders. Others will be happy to use no more than the "tasking" side of the system, with no requirement to monitor in such depth.
Eclipse-fm® allows you to use either approach, and even to mix the two at will. You might have a task that is normally un-monitored, but which you need to monitor for a particular period if time. Simply set and un-set monitoring as needed.
For tasks that do need data feedback , there are two ways of doing this:-
Supervisor Feedback
Supervisors have the capability to manually Feedback and Adjust information held against each Task, creating the same historical record as if the Task had progressed normally through the system. This ensures that an audit trail is always present.
A standalone utility that can be run on any PC allows operatives to log on and off tasks. Where detailed feedback on task management, timing etc. is needed, this is essential.
Barcoding
Each Task Ticket is barcoded allowing, where the facility is set up, for an operative to simply scan their identification bar-code and the Ticket to log on and off.
Non mandatory
Where such feedback detail is not required, tasks can simply be designated as auto-complete, in which case no further staff action is necessary. Thus a routine, regular job, such as a porters round, can be allocated automatically and that is all that is needed for creating the complete history of a routine task. Where the facility is not required, just set all tasks to this.
